This is John Branca, the lawyer that filed an UCC Financing Statement against #MichaelJackson and the MJ Trusts in 2005 !
Below you can read the injunction papers filed by John Branca
John Branca asserted that he had “membership interests” in Sony/ATV and in MIJAC Catalog when he filed the injunctions against Michael Jackson, blocking the procedure for the new refinance that Michael Jackson was putting in place.
Branca put Michael Jackson into risk of foreclosing and hence bankruptcy.
The screen caps below are excerpts of the memorandum written by Michael Jackson ‘s lawyers, describing the Branca UCCs and how the injunctions against Michael Jackson was causing serious risk of defaulting the BOA (Bank of America) loans.
John Branca made an injunction in the form of an ATTACHMENT ORDER over assets, that – he knew very well – Michael Jackson was processing to get refinanced, the same assets that had to be free from any liens, except for the Lender (BOA).
These 3 caps below are excerpts of Daniel Groppel (Fortress Managing Director) deposition while questioned about the loan closing being in stand by due to Branca’s action. You can understand very well what it was about by reading the caps:
So, the only solution for Michael Jackson to get rid of John Branca’s legal claim, was to have his lawyers dealing with Branca’s assertions.
Actually John Branca so-called “membership interests” were nothing but commissions arisen as a result of an old agency agreement with Michael Jackson.
John Branca did NOT have any “membership interests” in Sony/ATV as he was claiming!
With his injunction, John Branca could have compromised Michael Jackson’s assets. His demands were more than OUTRAGEOUS and, as a matter of fact, Michael Jackson contested most of John Branca’s requests!!
Here below we are going to comment the above sheets presented by Branca’s requests to MJ’s lawyers and you can see all the contested items.
It contains outrageous claims such as:
16’121.943.73 of principal capital (rejected by MJ)
as well as
14’089,984.33 and additional amounts for the following reasons:
1’621,943.73 representing his percentage on the 300 million Fortress loan then discounted to 589’,894.33
1’032,049.40 representing attorneys fee (rejected by MJ)
13’500,00.00 being the principal balance
The above John Branca ‘s draft included also an OUTRAGEOUS request of 4.5 Million (plus interests!!!) that he assumed to be due to him directly by Sony Corp. if foreclosure & bankruptcy procedure on MJ assets should happen during the period of Fortress refinance.
John Branca ‘s draft demand of 4.5M is there because he was more than sure #MichaelJackson would have gone into foreclosing and bankrupt procedure sooner or later.
And if that wasn’t enough Branca’s claim included that if the bankrupt Michael Jackson would not have had enough balance to pay the 4.5M, John Branca would have got the money in installments in all cases from Michael Jackson’s royalties up to March 2008!
Branca put a preservation order on his “supposed membership interests into Sony/ATV Catalogue” , Mijac , plus all Michael Jackson’s activities, with the clear final purpose to put Michael Jackson in official default and get the cake he could not have after MJ refused the Goldman Sachs deal. So this one was another chance for himself to keep sucking out Michael Jackson for many years to come.
Michael Jackson, in response to John Branca’s injunction, cut the head off of the vampire John Branca !
The capture below is from the deposition of Michael Jackson in June 2006. Michael Jackson is referred as “Witness”: you can read how when inquired by a lawyer about Branca “owning a portion of Sony/ATV” , Michael Jackson replies by saying that was what John Branca was claiming:
“He claimed he owned 5%” of Sony/ATV
As you can see here below, MJ must have had his papers in good order as he challenged John Branca’s claim
With this, John Branca was liquidated with an amount much lower than his initial request.
The claim was settled in MJ’s way, not as per Branca requests.
And Mr Branca ‘s lie is exactly in the UCC filed against Michael Jackson:

Branca and his law firm assertions were nothing else than legal fees (performed or not) in connection to John Branca’s *trustee position in MJPT (Michael Jackson Publishing Trust) which 100% ownership belonged to Michael Jackson. But “somehow” what MEDIA and books spread was not the truth. They were inducing fans and the general public into wrongly believing Branca had “membership/ownership interests” into Michael Jackson’s 50% of Sony/ATV shares without showing the supporting documents.
*A trustee is a hired person that has been given responsibility for managing someone else’s property or money through a trust
The capture below is an excerpt of the release letter that Branca sent to MJ. The letter/agreement confirms that Branca and his firm – after the payment of 13.5 million, – will not have further amounts or demands over MJ assets and with the signature of the agreement their professional relationship is totally closed. Branca himself and his law firm do not, and will not have further financial claims related to the activities of MJ after receiving this last payment from Michael Jackson.
Here below you can see the list of songs belonging to MIJAC Catalogue administered by Branca & his firm. In short, he was in charge to prepare and execute the working papers for the licensing of them and on this he was taking a commission through Sony
Below there is the letter that White & Case lawyers prepared to be signed by Michael Jackson in order to give the final kick in the butt to John Branca. The letter is dated March 15, 2006.

Michael Jackson wanted John Branca completely out of his business and he didn’t want to have anything to do with him.
There was NEVER a friendly and mutual departure between John Branca and Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson, was forced to mortgage Neverland in order to pay off Branca and cut him out of his business.
It speaks also volumes that Michael Jackson was removing all crooks from being trustees of his Michael Jackson Publishing Trust and he appointed himself and later his mother as trustee, as he mentioned in the deposition in June 2006.

Did fortress want Neverland as additional guarantee?
No. Fortress main loan did not include Neverland. Neverland pledge was separated in order to pay Branca UCC1. Branca claim represented a lien over MJ assets and they felt this problem had to be solved before the disbursement of the main loan. For this reason they provided to MJ a mortage over Neverland. Details over the loan will come soon.
But then Branca did not say nothing about “Neverland Loan” !!!
After this crap Branca was fired. Right?
